On May 20, 2005, the Board of Education approved the Retivalization Plan for Stedman Elementary. A team of teachers, parents, community members and the principal spent the year developing the plan. The plan will operate under the banner of: "Going Above and Beyond: Stedman Elementary School--A-High Achieving Learning Community for Student Success. The four focus areas of the Revitalization Plan are:

1. Academic Achievement
       A. Development and full implementation of a Professional Learning 
           Community 
       B. Best Practices for Literacy and Math
       C. Experential Approach to Science, Technology, and Social Studies

2. Climate and Culture 
        A. Playground and Ground Development and Building upgrade.
        B. Full Implementation of Schoolwide Behavior/Character Education Model

3. Parent Engagement
        A. Stedman Partnering with Parents

4. Marketing and Communication
        A. Development of a formal marketing plan and materials
