Hello! My name is Aileen Gurrola-Flores. This is my first-year teaching in the state of Colorado, as I recently moved from Kansas. I was born and raised in Garden City, Kansas. I am a mother to a beautiful baby boy, and I will be getting married to my fiancé in November. I graduated from Garden City High School, Go Buffs! I earned my bachelor’s degree from Friends University. I am currently working on obtaining my master’s degree in strategic leadership from Friends University. I believe in an equal learning opportunity for all students. I believe a student’s success should not be defined by their socioeconomic background. I want my students to achieve both their academic and personal goals.
On a personal level, I enjoy running. I ran track and cross country from 7th grade to my senior year in college. I now spend my free time running road races and marathons. I also love coffee! If you see me around school, I will most likely have a cup of coffee in my hand. I’m looking forward to an amazing year!
