How to Apply for ECE
All ECE-3 and ECE-4 families must participate in DPS SchoolChoice to be matched with their preferred school for the 2024-25 school year. Students who turn 3 years old on or before Oct. 1 will need to apply for ECE-3. Students who turn 4 years old on or before Oct. 1 will need to apply for ECE-4. Due to limited space, enrollment is not guaranteed.
Submitted your application during Round 1?
DPS will contact you when it is time to complete the UPK application to receive funding through the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC). No action is needed until DPS contacts you with information on that next step.
Please Note: If your child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP), you can complete the UPK application at any time following your SchoolChoice application. Contact Child Find with any questions.

The DPS SchoolChoice Round 2 window opens on April 10 at 10 a.m.

Cómo aplicar para ECE
Todas las familias de ECE-3 y ECE-4 deberán participar en SchoolChoice de DPS para que se les asigne su escuela preferida para el año escolar 2024-25. Los estudiantes que cumplan 3 años el 1 de octubre o antes deberán solicitar ECE-3. Los estudiantes que cumplan 4 años el 1 de octubre o antes deberán solicitar ECE-4. Debido al espacio limitado, la inscripción no está garantizada.
¿Envió su solicitud durante la Ronda 1?
DPS se comunicará con usted cuando llegue el momento de completar la solicitud UPK para recibir fondos a través del Departamento de Primera Infancia de Colorado (CDEC). No es necesario realizar ninguna acción hasta que DPS se comunique con usted con información sobre el siguiente paso.
Tenga en cuenta: si su hijo tiene un Programa de educación individualizado (IEP), puede completar la solicitud UPK en cualquier momento después de su solicitud SchoolChoice. Comuníquese con Child Find si tiene alguna pregunta.
